The bread, cakes, pastries, and other baked goods that we make here at the Dutch Maid Bakery use the same reliable mixers, ovens, and even recipes that John Baggenstoss used over 100 years ago.
These aren't processed cakes in plastic pouches. Everything we bake, we bake from scratch right here.
This means that you, your family, and your friends can enjoy our baked goods the same way someone might have enjoyed them 100 years ago. Whether you are trying one of our famous salt-rise breads or a chocolate eclair, you are enjoying something special.
The Dutch Maid's bread begins 4 days before the bread is ever baked, starting with corn meal, milk, and baking soda. While tastes in the United States changed in the 50's toward softer, airier breads, salt-rise is the same dense and hearty bread that the Baggenstosses made in the early 1900's. The bread was first made as an Appalachian Trail bread designed specifically to last for long stretches along the Appalachian Trail.
Our breads include Black Olive Roasted Red Pepper, Chuck Wagon, Honey Wheat, Jalapeño, Onion Dill, Pumpernickel, Raisin, Rosemary Olive Oil, Rye, Marble Rye, Six Grain Country French, Sour Dough, Sundried Tomato, and, of course, our famous Salt-Rise Bread.
No matter the sandwich, there is a freshly baked option here for you.

Variations in our decorated cakes are created just for you with a dramatic effect to wow your guests. Gorgeous both inside and out and full of flavor. Choose from the traditional Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry or vary it up a bit with Pineapple, Key Lime, Coconut, white Chocolate even Watermelon flavor. Choices in fillings and flavors in the icing are available. Buttercream or Whipped Topping are available anytime
We have an incredible number of flavors and varieties of cake, so you can create spectacular combinations. You can combine flavors, frosting, and fillings. Choose from Vanilla, Chocolate, Marble, Carrot, and Red Velvet Cake.
We have Cherry, Chocolate Bavarian, Vanilla Bavarian, Fresh Strawberries, German Chocolate, and Lemon fillings. For your icing choose from Butter Cream, Cream Cheese, Fudge, and Whipped Topping.

Our Pastry chef prides herself on making your wedding cake everything you’ve ever dreamed of. We have many existing cake designs that are simply stunning. But if you’re looking for something uniquely yours, we are exited to work with you to fulfill your vision. Our wedding cakes can be ordered with 2 to 6 tiers. You can bring in a swatch of your bridesmaid’s dress fabric or flowers and we’ll match the colors. We also make groom’s cakes, which are typically chocolate. The groom’s cake can be featured as a center piece and can be created to reflect the groom’s hobby or interest. We use only the finest ingredients, so your cake will be delicious!
Once you’ve agreed upon your cake design and made a deposit to reserve your wedding date, we’ll setup a tasting appointment for you to sample the many flavors options for cake and fillings. On the day of your wedding, our staff will deliver and setup your cake at the reception hall.
